On June 30, 2002, Dr Carl Davis, resigned from his post as Superintendent of Education. The Natchez Adams School Board later appointed Assistant Superintindent Mary Kate Garvin, to interim Superintendent of the Natchez Adams School District. Mrs Joyce Johnson Supervisor of Curriculum, was appointed to Interim Assistant Superintindent of the Natchez Adams School district, until final appointments are made and approved by the Board of Education.

Greetings from the "school with the new attitude", Robert Lewis Middle School, located at 1221 Martin Luther King Jr. Street, in Natchez Mississippi. The Telephone Number is 601- 445-2926, and the Fax number is 601-445-2960. The principal is Cynthia Smith. Assistant principals are Mr. Edward Reed and Mr. Cleveland Moore. The school offer a variety of subjects, as well as extracurricular activities such as basketball, football, choral music, and various clubs, to promote a well rounded academic and social environment.
The school has about nine hundred students, and a faculty and staff of about 75.
Morgantown Elementary School serves grades second through six. Morgantown principal is Mrs Carla Evers. Assistant principals are Mrs Vera Dunmore and Ms Dana Benson. The school has a magnificnet choir under the leadership of Mr. Tony Fields. The school is a member Oof the Barksdale Reading Program, a reading program design to identify and help those with reading disabilities. Morgantown school offer after school tutoring.
